Reese

This is another piece based on another creature from Matthew Reilly's book "Contest" so I could practice watercolour pencil some more. This is the first 'contestant', Reese. She uses the long antennae to track prey, paralyse them, and then lance them with her tail.
Like before, I collected a load of sentences with descriptions from the book at random and chose to draw from those, and any details in other sentences I missed in the arbitration weren't included.
The qualities I ended up with were:

Unlike my other drawing, this actually turned out pretty much the way I imagined Reese the first time. Basically a massive crocodile thing with a mouth that makes up the entirety of its head.
I think this went a bit better than I was expecting, although I don't really like how the line kinda stayed put when I'd managed to get rid of it on my Hoodaya drawing. I use non waterproof red ink and I was kind of hoping it'd run more again, but I don't think I used enough water to blur it out. It's only really bad on the head area though.
Still not convinced I know how to use watercolour pencil yet.
